Day 3Sightseeing Around Leh

Spend the day exploring Ladakh’s rich cultural heritage with visits to three of its most iconic monasteries — Shey, Thiksey, and Hemis. Marvel at ancient murals, prayer halls, and panoramic views from monastery hilltops. In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxed walk through the charming lanes of Leh town.
Return to your hotel in the evening. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 4Leh to Phyang and Taru

Day 5Trek: Taru – Taru La – Nyemo

Today’s trail leads you on a steady climb to Taru La, the first high-altitude pass of your journey, offering sweeping views of the surrounding valleys. After reaching the top, begin your descent toward the peaceful village of Nyemo, where you’ll be welcomed by the gentle rhythms of Ladakhi countryside life.
Spend the night at a tranquil riverside campsite near the village.

Day 6Trek: Nyemo to Nie

🏔️ Altitude: 3,800 m / 12,467 ft

📈 Altitude Gain: approx. 100 m

📉 Altitude Loss: minimal

Today’s trail winds through the historic village of Basgo, once a political and cultural hub of Ladakh. You’ll walk past striking ruined fortresses, intricately carved chortens, and an ancient royal palace, all set against the backdrop of dramatic desert mountains.
Camp tonight near the quiet village of Nie, under the clear Ladakhi sky.

Day 7Trek: Nie to Likir

The trail leads you through an open, arid landscape surrounded by barren hills and vast silence — a classic Ladakhi scene. On reaching Likir, you’ll visit the revered Likir Monastery, one of the oldest in the region, known for its giant gilded Buddha statue and peaceful ambiance.
Camp is set up nearby, offering a serene end to the day amid timeless Himalayan surroundings.

Day 8 Trek: Likir to Yangthang

🏔️ Altitude: 3,600 m / 11,811 ft

Today’s trail takes you over two gentle passes — Phobe La (3,700 m / 12,139 ft) and Charatse La (3,800 m / 12,467 ft) — offering steadily unfolding vistas of Ladakh’s vast mountain canvas. The route is peaceful and scenic, winding through traditional farmlands and quiet canyons.
Arrive at Yangthang, a quaint village surrounded by willow trees, and settle into your scenic campsite for the night.

Day 9Trek: Yangthang to Hemis Shukpachan

🏔️ Altitude: 3,600 m / 11,811 ft

📉 Altitude Loss: approx. 150 m

🕒 Trekking Time: 6 hours

Begin your day with a steady ascent to Chermentsela (3,750 m / 12,303 ft), a serene mountain pass that rewards you with expansive views. After the climb, descend gradually into the lush, tree-lined village of Hemis Shukpachan, one of the most picturesque in Ladakh. Explore the local Gompa and walk among the ancient juniper trees that give the village its name.
Camp tonight beneath starry skies in this peaceful and spiritually rich setting.

Day 10Trek: Hemis Shukpachan to Themisgam

🏔️ Altitude: 3,200 m / 10,498 ft

📈 Altitude Gain: approx. 150 m

📉 Altitude Loss: approx. 550 m

🕒 Trekking Time: 5.5 hours

Start the day with a gentle walk across open pastures, leading to a steady climb over Meptek La (3,750 m / 12,303 ft). From the pass, descend into the quaint Ang Village, tucked along the route to the lush Shyok Valley. A short trek from here brings you to Themisgam — a fertile and prosperous valley known for its apricot, apple, and walnut orchards, as well as its vibrant local Gompa.
Spend the night in a scenic campsite surrounded by fruit trees and traditional Ladakhi homes.

Day 11Trek: Themisgam to Khaltse – Drive to Lamayuru / Leh

🏔️ Altitude: Bonbbong La – 3,850 m / 12,631 ft | Khaltse – 2,995 m / 9,826 ft

Depart from the fertile valley of Themisgam and begin a steady 1.5-hour ascent to Bonbbong La, the final and highest pass of your trek. From the top, follow a long and gentle descent to Khaltse, where you join the main highway connecting Leh and Srinagar.
A vehicle will be waiting here to transfer you back to your hotel in Leh, marking the end of your memorable trekking journey through Ladakh.

Day 12Lamayuru to Dah-Hanu

Begin your day with a scenic drive along the banks of the Indus River, following its winding path through Ladakh’s stark and dramatic terrain. By afternoon, you’ll arrive in Dunkhar, a culturally rich region known for its unique landscape and traditional villages.
Spend the rest of the day exploring a nearby village and experiencing warm Ladakhi hospitality with an overnight stay in a local house or guesthouse.

Day 13Cultural Walk Through the Drokhpa Valley

Today you’ll explore the fascinating Drokhpa region, home to the unique Aryan tribes believed to have migrated from Central Asia. Known for their distinct features, traditional attire, and vibrant culture, these communities live in picturesque villages like Dhunkar, Biama, Skurbuchan, and Dha, lining the Indus River.

Take a short walk through Biama, followed by a 2 km trek to Dah. In the afternoon, cross the Indus to Balrase Village, passing through apricot-laden orchards and craft-rich villages like Achinathang.
Enjoy a peaceful overnight stay in a local family house or guesthouse.

Day 14Dah to Hanu via Alchi – Return to Leh

Depart from Dah in the morning and begin your journey back to Leh, following a scenic route through the Indus Valley. Arrive in Leh by afternoon. The rest of the day is free for rest or personal exploration.
Spend the night at a comfortable hotel in Leh.

Day 15Sightseeing Around Leh

Begin the day with a visit to Stok Palace and Museum, home to Ladakh’s former royal family and a fascinating collection of artifacts. The afternoon is free for leisure, shopping, or personal exploration.

Day 16Flight : Leh to Delhi

No. Please carry a backpack (40–60L). Suitcases are not suitable for mountain trails.

Are there toilets on the trek?

Yes, but they’re basic. Expect dry pit toilets at campsites. Carry toilet paper and hand sanitizer.

Can I rent trekking gear for this trek?

Yes, gear like sleeping bags, jackets, and trekking poles are available for rent.

Will I get mobile network or electricity?

  • Mobile signal is limited—only BSNL or Airtel may work in a few spots. Electricity is rare, so bring a power bank (solar recommended).

What happens if it rains or snows?

We continue trekking in the rain with ponchos. In case of heavy snow or unsafe conditions, we may alter or cancel the route.

Is this trek culturally immersive?
