Meet your Into Wild Himalaya guide in Manali at 8:30 AM for introductions and a safety briefing. After breakfast, drive to Vashisht village, where the hike begins. The trail starts with a steady climb through apple orchards, gradually entering dense pine forests as altitude is gained.
The trail continues uphill at a comfortable pace with regular breaks. Views of the Beas Valley open up below as the forest thins. After around three hours, the tree line ends and wide alpine meadows appear, marking the Panduropa region.
Continue ascending to the Panduropa ridgeline, offering panoramic views of Indrasan, Deo Tibba, Hanuman Tibba, Friendship Peak, and Hamta Pass. Enjoy a packed lunch in the meadows and time to explore the area. During summer, the slopes are often filled with wildflowers.
After lunch, begin the descent. You can return via the same route to Vashisht or descend toward Kulang, passing forest trails and open slopes. Reach the roadhead by late afternoon and return to Manali by 6:00–6:30 PM.
