With over two decades of experience in the Indian Himalayas, Boney Sharma is the visionary force behind Into Wild Himalaya Expeditions. After completing his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications from Bangalore University, Boney chose to follow his passion rather than a conventional 9-to-5 career—returning to the mountains he grew up in to create something truly meaningful.

In 2006, Boney co-founded Into Wild Himalaya along with Suneel Kumar with the goal of delivering authentic and immersive Himalayan experiences to both domestic and international travellers. From technical treks and trans-Himalayan motorbike expeditions to cultural road journeys and youth adventure programs, Boney has been instrumental in designing and leading some of the most memorable travel experiences in the region.

As both the founder and an active expedition leader, Boney is known for his deep local insight, calm leadership, and commitment to safety. He holds formal mountaineering certifications and has guided numerous groups through challenging terrains with professionalism and warmth.

Boney continues to expand the company’s vision while staying personally involved in operations, ensuring every journey reflects the core values of adventure, authenticity, and environmental responsibility.
