Meet Sakshi Thakur, one of the most dynamic and accomplished members of the Into Wild Himalaya Expeditions team. A trailblazer in alpine sports, Sakshi brings unmatched expertise to every expedition — whether it’s high-altitude trekking, technical ski mountaineering, rock climbing, or school-based outdoor programs.
Armed with a Master’s degree in Tour and Travel Management from Himachal Pradesh University, she has also earned prestigious certifications from ABVIMAS, Manali — covering Basic to Advanced Skiing, Mountaineering, Leadership Development, Search & Rescue, and the Method of Instruction (MOI).
Her adventure resume includes iconic Himalayan routes like Beas Kund, Bhrigu Lake, Patalsu Peak, and Friendship Peak. But Sakshi is not just a guide — she’s a national-level champion, with multiple gold and silver medals from the Khelo India Winter Games, All India Open Ski & Snowboarding Championships, and Ski Mountaineering Nationals. She made history by winning gold in Asia’s only Snow Marathon (10 km, Lahaul 2024) — held at the highest altitude on Earth.
With her blend of technical mastery, infectious enthusiasm, and calm leadership, Sakshi is the go-to expert for first-time trekkers, seasoned mountaineers, and student groups alike. Her presence ensures that every adventure is not just safe — but truly unforgettable.
