Day 1Arrival & Orientation

🏔️ Elevation: 2,560 m

Arrive in Solang Valley by afternoon and meet your experienced instructors. After a brief course introduction, you’ll familiarize yourself with the equipment and safety protocols. The evening will include a theoretical session on basic aerodynamics. End the day with an overnight stay at the camp, preparing for your adventure ahead.

Day 2Ground Handling (Inflation Techniques)

Begin with warm-up exercises and safety drills before diving into the essentials of ground handling. Practice forward and reverse launches on gentle slopes, while gaining a deeper understanding of wind dynamics and glider control. In the evening, explore the science of flight—air pressure, lift, and drag—in a classroom session. Enjoy an overnight stay at the camp.

Day 3Ground Handling & Short Hops

Enhance your glider control by practicing stable launches and short hops from beginner slopes. This hands-on session will focus on mastering controlled take-offs and smooth landings. In the evening, review your flight videos and receive personalized feedback from your instructors. Overnight stay to rest for more flying!

Day 4First Solo Flights

Trek to a low-altitude take-off site (approx. 2,200 m / 7,200 ft), where you will take your first solo flights under radio supervision. This is the moment to apply everything you’ve learned, with a focus on maintaining a steady flight path and executing gentle turns. Evening classroom session on meteorology, glider care, and emergency protocols. Overnight stay at the camp.

Day 5Solo Flights & Maneuver Practice

Fly solo with an emphasis on maneuver control, including figure-eights, coordinated turns, and safe landing approaches. Your instructors will provide valuable feedback, and you’ll log your progress in the flight logbook. In the evening, explore ridge soaring, thermals, and how to judge sites for safe flying. Overnight stay at the camp to prepare for the final day.

Day 6Final Flights & Course Conclusion

On the final day, focus on perfecting your take-offs and landings with multiple solo flights. After completing your last flight, you’ll take a written theory test, followed by a performance evaluation. Your efforts will be rewarded with a Certificate of Completion, marking the successful end of your adventure.
