The Bouldering Course Manali is a six-day outdoor climbing programme designed for climbers who want to develop strong movement skills, technical confidence and efficient climbing techniques on natural rock. Training takes place on the impressive granite boulders of Sethan, a growing outdoor climbing destination in the Indian Himalayas, as well as selected climbing areas around Aleo and Chichoga. Under the guidance of certified instructors, participants progress through structured coaching while experiencing one of India’s most exciting natural bouldering environments.
Throughout the course, you’ll learn the core principles of outdoor bouldering, including balance, footwork, body positioning, movement efficiency, route reading, problem-solving, spotting techniques and safe climbing practices. Each training session builds progressively, allowing climbers to gain confidence while tackling a wide variety of natural boulder problems suitable for different abilities. With a low 1:5 instructor-to-student ratio, every participant receives personalised coaching and plenty of time on the rock.
More than simply learning to climb, the Bouldering Course in Manali develops the movement, coordination and mental focus that form the foundation of every climbing discipline. Whether your goal is to improve your climbing ability, prepare for rock climbing or mountaineering, or simply experience outdoor bouldering in the Himalayas, this Sethan Granite Bouldering Experience offers the perfect blend of professional instruction, authentic mountain climbing and unforgettable Himalayan adventure.

Arrive in Sethan and settle into your mountain home. Meet your instructors, get your gear, and dive into bouldering basics and climbing ethics.
Start your day with a light hike to nearby bouldering clusters surrounded by alpine forests. Warm up with stretching drills, then dive into foundational climbing techniques—body positioning, center of gravity, and dynamic vs. static movement. Practice footwork, flagging, and handhold transitions on beginner routes. The day ends with a session on route reading and problem-solving theory back at the base.
Refine your climbing control with footwork and flagging drills, and learn safe falling and spotting techniques through supervised practice sessions.
Build core strength and flexibility through guided conditioning, then climb on mixed terrain with a focus on focus, breathwork, and confidence.
Trek to remote bouldering sites in the Hamta region. Apply all techniques on real granite problems and participate in a fun group challenge.
Take on final climbs to showcase your progress, receive personalized feedback from instructors, and celebrate with certificates before departure.
