Embark on a spectacular and challenging journey through the heart of the Garhwal Himalayas. Starting in Rishikesh, this high-altitude trek ascends through sacred towns, deep river gorges, alpine meadows, and massive glaciers, eventually reaching the formidable Kalindi Khal Pass at 5,947 m / 19,511 ft. With views of Shivling (6,543 m) and Bhrigu Parbat (6,041 m), this adventure combines spiritual significance, raw wilderness, and dramatic mountain beauty. The trek concludes with a serene descent into Gangotri and a return train journey from Haridwar to Delhi.

Day 1Arrival in Delhi

Guests are welcomed upon arrival at Delhi airport and transferred to their hotel for a restful overnight stay before the Himalayan journey begins.

Day 2Delhi to Rishikesh: Gateway to the Himalayas

Drive to Rishikesh, a sacred town nestled along the Ganges. Explore ancient temples, spiritual ashrams, and witness the moving Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat.

Day 3Rishikesh to Joshimath: Along Sacred Confluences

With an early departure, we will drive 70 km and stop at Dev Pryag; confluence of Bhagirathi and Alaknanda begins here. For the Sikhs, Joshimath (Jyotirmath) is the winter seat of Rawal Sahib—the chief priest of Badrinath. After reaching Joshimath by evening, you will check in for an overnight stay at a comfortable hotel.

 
 
 

Day 4 Joshimath to Badrinath: Shrine beneath Snow‑Clad Peaks

It is a short drive along the foot of Nanda Devi sanctuary, where we will visit some holy places before reaching Badrinath. Badri or “Badri Vishal” inspires loud chants of devotion. After visiting the temple, we will wander through the lively bazaar at the foot of the snow‑capped Neel Kanth (6,957 m / 22,824 ft) . Later, we will soak in the warmth of Narad Kund’s Tapta Kund hot spring before retiring to our hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 5Trek to Vasudhara via Mana Villag

We begin with a short drive to Mana Village, the last settlement on the Indo-Tibetan border. Historically called Manibhadrashram, it is home to the Marchya people—semi-nomadic Himalayan tribes. From here, we trek to the scenic Vasudhara Falls, cascading 122 meters from glacier-carved cliffs. Surrounded by peaks like Chaukhamba, Satopanth, and Balakun, and set amid vast moraines and the Alkapuri glacier, the falls offer an ethereal Himalayan panorama. Return to Badrinath for an overnight stay at a hotel or lodge.

Day 6Trek from Vasudhara to Ghastoli

The trail leads us through the dense forests of Laxmi Van, rich in alpine flora and mythological associations. Reach by late afternoon and settle into tents for an overnight stay amidst peaceful Himalayan surroundings.

Day 7Trek from Ghastoli to Arwatal

The trek becomes more challenging today as we navigate several icy mountain streams, including the frigid Arwa Nallah. The terrain includes snowfields and slippery glacial patches as we ascend to our remote campsite at Arwatal. Overnight stay in tents under the open Himalayan sky.

Day 8Trek from Arwatal to Rajparav

The trail winds over rugged boulders and shifting moraines, offering striking high-altitude landscapes throughout the day. We reach a snow-covered meadow early in the season before pushing onward to the remote campsite at Rajparav. Caution is advised on this stretch as it aids both acclimatization and safe passage toward the upcoming pass.

Day 9Trek to Kalindi Khal Base via Kalindi Pass

Today’s trek involves a steady ascent with at least an hour of glacier walking, especially snow-laden during early season. As we approach and cross the Kalindi Pass—the highest point of the trek—you’ll be rewarded with awe-inspiring views of Satopanth Kol, Kalindi Peak, and a dramatic panorama of unnamed snow peaks. We reach the base camp and take time to walk around, immersing ourselves in this majestic high-altitude wilderness. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 10Trek from Kalindi Khal Base to Khara Pathar

The descent begins with a careful walk over loose moraines and large boulders. We cross icy mountain streams and make our way over the challenging terrain of the Suryala Glacier. With caution and focus, we reach the rugged but scenic campsite of Khara Pathar. Overnight stay in camp.

Day 11Trek from Khara Pathar to Vasukital

We will make leave to Vasukital through the forest of oak, green grassy meadows and the lake with its crystal clear water surrounded by snow-capped peaks. The campsite is close to the lake in the shadow of panoramic Himalayan ranges, situated at the base of Satopanth Peak, Black Peak and Mt. Vasuki Parvat. Overnight stay in camp.

Day 12Trek from Vasukital to Nandanvan

The trail leads via Chaturangi Glacier to Nandanvan, which serves as the base camp for Bhagirathi Peak, Kharchakund, and other majestic summits near the Gangotri Glacier. Overnight stay in camp.

Day 13 Trek from Nandanvan to Bhojbasa

We will leave for Gangotri via Chirbasa, following treelines and patches of juniper and silver birch trees scattered across the hillside. The Bhagirathi Range looms impressively overhead, featuring peaks like Shivling (6,543 m) and Bhrigu Parbat (6,041 m). Gangotri, a revered Hindu pilgrimage site, welcomes thousands of devotees to its temple and riverside ashrams. After visiting the temple and exploring the spiritual ambiance along the Ganga, we retire for an overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 15Gangotri to Haridwar: Sacred Ganges Pilgrimage

Day 16Return to Delhi & Departure
