Day 1Arrival in Delhi

Day 2Sightseeing in Delhi & Overnight Bus to Manali

Spend the day exploring the bustling sights of Delhi, including its historic and cultural landmarks. In the evening, transfer to the bus station for your overnight journey to Manali aboard a comfortable, air-conditioned coach.

Day 3Arrival in Manali & Acclimatisation

🗻 Max Altitude: 2,050 m / 6,726 ft

Upon arrival in Manali, check in to your hotel and take time to freshen up and rest. In the afternoon, enjoy a short acclimatisation walk around the area and complete an equipment check for the upcoming trek. Overnight stay in a comfortable hotel.

Day 4Drive from Manali to Udaipur via Rohtang Pass

After breakfast, begin the scenic drive from Manali to Udaipur, crossing the iconic Rohtang Pass en route. The full-day journey offers sweeping views of valleys and peaks. Upon arrival in Udaipur, check into a local guesthouse for overnight stay.

Day 5Drive from Udaipur to Urgos via Chamrat

After a morning visit to the Mrigula Devi Temple, we’ll have breakfast and begin our scenic drive to the remote village of Urgos. Nestled amidst Himalayan valleys, Urgos offers a quiet, cultural experience. Take time to explore the area before settling in for an overnight camp stay.

Day 6 – 18Trek from Urgos to Menthosa Summit & Return

📈 Altitude Gain: +3,193 m / 10,476 ft (from Urgos)
⏱️ Trekking Time: Variable per stage
🥾 Trekking Distance: Multi-day staged ascent (~40–50 km total)

From Urgos, begin the gradual ascent to Base Camp, where the team will rest and prepare for the summit push. The next phase includes establishing two high-altitude camps:

  • Camp 1: 4,975 m, just before Urgos Pass (5,100 m)

  • Camp 2: 5,700 m, northeast ridge of Mt. Menthosa

This stage involves crossing glaciers, navigating crevasse zones, and ascending along fixed ropes over icefalls. Acclimatisation days are included to ensure safety, and extra summit days are built into the schedule to adapt to weather and group readiness.

From Summit Camp 2, push for the summit of Mt. Menthosa (6,443 m / 21,111 ft), the second highest peak in Lahaul. Enjoy unmatched panoramic views before descending back to lower camps for recovery.

Overnights during this period are in expedition tents at high camps and Base Camp.

Day 19 – 20 Return Trek & Drive to Manali

📉 Altitude Loss: −4,393 m / 14,415 ft (from Menthosa summit)
⏱️ Travel Time: 1.5 days (trek + drive)
🚗 Travel Distance: ~170 km / 106 miles
After breaking down camp, begin the descent from Base Camp to Urgos, followed by a scenic return drive to Manali. This two-day journey offers time to rest, reflect, and gradually re-enter lower altitudes. Arrive in Manali and check into a comfortable hotel for a much-needed overnight stay.

Day 21Explore Manali & Overnight Bus to Delhi

Day 22Departure from New Delhi

After arriving in Delhi from your overnight bus, you’ll be transferred to Indira Gandhi International Airport for your onward flight. Trip ends with unforgettable memories of the Menthosa summit expedition.
