About the Menthosa Peak Climbing Expedition — Lahaul Himalayas, India
The Menthosa Peak Climbing Expedition is a challenging 6000m Himalayan ascent located in the remote Lahaul region of Himachal Pradesh. Known for its striking pyramid-shaped summit and pristine alpine landscapes, Menthosa Peak (6,443 m) offers an adventurous, less crowded alternative to popular 6000m climbs in the Indian Himalayas.
This Menthosa Peak climbing expedition begins in the scenic Pangi Lahaul corridor, passing glacial streams, rocky ridges, meadows and untouched valleys. The route includes a steady acclimatization schedule before moving into snow and mixed terrain. Climbers learn or refine mountaineering skills including crampon movement, ice-axe handling, rope techniques, glacier travel and high-altitude safety.
The summit provides breathtaking views across the Greater Himalayas and Pir Panjal Range. With certified guides, support staff, technical equipment, and structured acclimatization, this Menthosa Peak climbing expedition is ideal for experienced trekkers and intermediate mountaineers seeking a remote, rewarding Himalayan challenge in India.
